Helena Skirt

Well some time ago I purchased a quantity of blue fabric with the intention of turning it into skirt that sits on the waiste, above knee lenght, etc. I cut out the pieces but it just wasnt working out, the the idea was scrapped.

But, whilst browsing the free patterns on Burda, I came across this skirt -

It seemed so quick and easy, plus the pattern could be printed at home! So I gathered up some of my old school work, stuck it in the printer (recycling FTW) and walla! Pattern!

But, what material? Then I came across the blue material, layered the pattern pieces on it, praying they would fit. Perfect =D

About 2 hours later, and walla! -

I only realised after how creased it was >.<# (Thats what I get for leaving it on the back of my computer chair...) And excuse my terrible hair (It looks so red 0.0), I have just been to the hairdressers so its still settling in.

So yeah, quite cute of I do say so myself~  Lovely with a simple singlet and mid - lenght blouse. Id imagine a large, chunky necklace or belt would really help liven it up =D I plan on changing the buttons, and I am thinking about perhaps making a black one =D

Price? About $3. (Im loving this whole sewing clothes at home thing...Haha!). Highly recommended =D
