Ive always wanted to be able to have some sort of a business run from home, which involves me creating stuff that I enjoy making.
Stuff Ive sewn, drawn, painted, created in some way~
Stuff Ive sewn, drawn, painted, created in some way~
About half of the people on Deviant Art who I watch are doing that in someway or another, whether it be making a living or earning a small income from their college dorm room - A couple make sculptures from clay and faux fur, another makes full body animal suite/costumes, another makes custom fleece hats, another does tattoo designs, another does cosplay commissions, the list goes on!
And well, I now have a Zazzle shop, from which I am now selling items like prints, mugs, keychains etc with my graphic designs, graphic paintings and photography on them! Im so happy!
Pretty nifty, aye?
And so, the primary aim of the shop shall be to support my goal of attending WAAPA, the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Basically, the course, a diploma in theatrical costuming, make up, wigs, millenary, etc, requires a portfolio to enter. Said portfolio has to be filled with examples of what I can sew, make etc, which means its going to cost a bit just to produce the portfolio!
That said, it leads onto my next topic - I have finished school, and therefore, once I get a job, expect to see this blog become quite active, as Ill be doing a lot more sewing! As Ill be working on stuff for my portfolio =D
- At the moments I am still working on my Luka sandplay cosplay.
Just have the headpiece, on more glove, the bow, to adjust the
purple skirt thing, add another layer of tulle or two to the skirt
and to add all the gold edging!
- And Song Summoner is still in the making. Just need to finish off my
hat, buy all the makeup (x_x), both of the sleeves on one side
of my shirt, my skirt thing, one of the ruffles on the pants and a few
other bits a pieces. I have also begun to completely redo the corset
- Its only half done and already looking better!
I am also working on getting around to starting my ragdoll costume, my Steampunk costume, and a Jester costume that I have designed specifically for my portfolio (And have since found a renaissance fair to wear to!). Should be fun =D
So yeah, lots of writing 0.0 But pics should be coming soon!
